What does being hypnotised 

feel like?


 Hypnosis feels like being deeply relaxed.
For example, think about how you feel when
you first wake up in the morning and are aware
 of everything but you don't feel like getting
 out of bed yet. That is similar to how it feels. It may feel slightly different each time, but will always leave you feeling relaxed.

  What if I can't 'go   under'?

 
There are different levels/depths of hypnosis but most people can 
get to a light level  very easily - and most techniques work well at that 'light' level.
Anyone with average to above average intelligence can achieve this.


Will I lose control/can I be made to do things I don't want?

This is a myth.
You will be completely aware of
what I am saying to you, you will be
able to talk to me while in the hypnotic
state and be able to talk easily. (although you may not want to as you'll feel so relaxed!)

 Most people also remember everything after a session too.



What will a session be like?

General sessions will consist of a consultation for the first meeting.  This is important to gain an understanding of the issue(s) concerning you and agree some goals for therapy.

The sessions after that will consist of a short chat then some hypnosis work.


Why is smoking cessation more expensive?

Most people only require one session to give up the smoking habit for good. So I
 combine the initial consultation with the hypnosis session so you don't have to come back. For that reason, these sessions take longer, and therefore cost more.

Do I need to prepare for a session?

No, just bring yourself and any
 issues that are concerning you. Having an idea of what you would like to achieve/ what success would look like for you
would be helpful, but we can discuss that during the initial consultation.


How much does it cost?

General hypnotherapy sessions (for everything except smoking cessation) cost £50 for an hour session.

Smoking cessation costs £120 for a one and a half hour session.

How many sessions will I need?

Each individual is different. Smoking cessation should only take one session.
 For anything else I would recommend at least 3 sessions to start to see beneficial results.

However most people will feel more relaxed after one hypnosis session.

Hypnotherapy can be used to help with many psychological issues and some physical ones.
 
Like all therapies, nothing is guaranteed.
